Shadowology

Belgian artist Vincent Ball inspired students to continue their investigation of light and cast shadows as they learned about his background as an illustrator and film maker and how he accidentally discovered making shadow art from the cast shadow of his coffee mug, while sitting at his desk! Students collected common objects found around the house, then experimented using a flashlight to find a cast shadow that sparked their imagination. From there, they doodled with a Micron pen to create an imaginary scene based on the cast shadow. It is refreshing to create art that brings smiles and a few giggles to both artist and viewer alike...ENJOY!
