Paper Faces
Continuing with the experimentation of light, form, and cast shadows, students learned about quirky British artist Guy Larsen, who illustrates artwork on cast shadows. Students were then challenged to crumble up a piece of paper and use a light source to cast a shadow that resembles a facial profile and use their imagination to incorporate whimsical details onto the shadow to complete the face. Some interesting characters developed...!
