At the start of the school year, we took some time to get to know our fellow artists in class and learned about self expression through art. Students also developed a fresh new awareness about Line Quality by learning to slow down, connect their lines, close shapes and avoid the pitfalls of over-drawing, under-drawing and re-drawing. From there, they developed advanced color pencil techniques in preparation for creating gorgeous name cards for their tool kits, that not only identified what they call themselves but also expressed something personal about themselves, as classmates got to know each other.
