Henri Matisse was a French artist who started his career as a painter and then shifted his style to “painting with scissors”, creating abstract collages when he became bedridden later in life. After students learned about his interesting life and career, they focused on creating colorful cut paper collages and giving them French titles, while listening to traditional French music as they worked!
