Cardboard Food Art Challenge
Cardboard is usually used for containing and transporting goods. It is seen as disposable, but recently many artists have realized cardboard's true potential. This boxy, messy looking material can be used to create sturdy, creative and animated sculptures. During this time at home, students learned various cardboard sculpture techniques and then were tasked to create something appetizing. Ironically, food is transported in cardboard boxes and now the cardboard boxes can be transformed into something appetizing themselves. Many students photographed themselves pretending to eat them. It's safe to say they are also participating in a bit of performance art. "EEWW, this tastes like cardboard!" Bon Appétit!
